At the weekend pancake had a bit of an adventure. I normally put something on top of her rub but for some reason Friday night i didn't.

Was up half the night coughing from this stupid virus that's going around. Anyway it was about 3 am and
I heard a massive thud in my room. Looked around and didn't really think anything of it as my dog is always making a racket. But i did have a slight feeling it was a snake!

In the morning i went to get pancake out and she was gone. The rub was lidless. I searched everywhere for about an hour and found her in-between the drawers of my wardrobe. She was cold but very aware of where my hands where and everything. GREAT! got her back

Then in the evening i went to visit my Nans for the evening. Got home quite late and thought I'd have a quick look at the snakes before going to bed.... lucky i did because she had got out again!

Omg they are little buggers aren't they? My Shahi once got out of his viv - either I'd inadvertently left the door ajar or he must have nosed the glass open despite it being wedged; there was only a tiny gap but he got out and climbed UP the viv stack in my bedroom. It was the night before Halloween and I do share the house with shall we say a presence, perfectly benign and welcome, and I heard a scuffling and having checked out all the cats and vivs by the light of the infra red, I really did think it was something supernatural...until I turned the overhead light on and caught His Royal Highness on top of the beautiful Surahi's viv (hadn't noticed him in all the clutter that's on there.)

Naughty Pancake lol! Glad you got her back safe and sound.

LOL - he does indeed, poor chap - but although I toyed with the idea of breeding, I've decided against it - I'd want to keep all the offspring and he'd want to do it every year after that Pity I know as Surahi's breeding weight ...
