I just accepted delivery for 25 frozen mice, trouble is they were despatched on the 9th so that is 4 days ago.

There are ice crystals on the inner packaging but all the mice are thawed.
I phoned my supplier and to their credit they have arranged a new delivery to be sent tomorrow with no request from myself.

Now these mice, should I bin them?

Thanks

Yeah 4 days is a bit long to be defrosted unfortunately. Its a shame, I dont like wasting food but you got to think health first.

Thanks guys :)

They were packed in a polysterene tub with ice packs inside, but they would have thawed probably by Saturday. So yeah best bin them..but aye Rob same as you I hate throwing food away.

Last time i bought meat online was for a 3 bird roast for xmas dinner 2 years ago..the year we had snow..tons of it. so my bird arrived almost a week late..grr cost me £150 and dumped lol

As for my snakes, if I fed and made my babies ill i'd never forgive myself.

First time i had one of my lot refuse a mouse wasnt sure what to do with it bin it or bury it lmao Im totally with you on the not wanting to risk it though Janie its not worth the risk especially not if the company are happy to replace them im sure the snakes wont mind waiting

You wouldn't refreeze raw meat for yourself, so...anyway Janie, you've no doubt binned them by now.

I had to bin a mouse this morning too.

Still lots to learn.
