Hey there everyone,
So early this week I sadly lost my pet corn snake after having her for well over 10years.
I have agood sized vicarium which I shall be rehoming a new python in next month when its my birthday.
Are there any tips you guys can share? Anything at all? Or are they very similar to corns?
Thanks guys!

Hi and welcome - here is a link which imo gives a load of good info about setting up for a royal for the first time -

http://www.theroyalpython.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5183

There's also a good caresheet on the home page of this forum.

Very sorry to hear about your corn. You must miss her - I'd be devastated.

The only other thing I'd add would be - did the corn die of anything infectious, as it would be a good idea to get proper veterinary advice on when it could be safe for another snake to occupy the vivarium, plus correct disinfecting etc.

But do hope you get your royal soon!

Hey thanks for the useful info. And ill be sure to check that out.
I'll be certainly disinfecting the viv correctly before I even consider another reptile to live in there.
Yeah I am very upset about our loss. As shes become a big part of my family. And I had her before id even met my Wife. So a marriage and two children later I still had my companion beside me. So to lose her was a big blow for me persobally aswell as upsetting for my kids.
Again cheers for the reply. Ill be sure to become a regular around these forums.
