Hi everyone, great site! Came accross the caresheet when I was looking into getting my royal, it was a big help, so here I am
This is my snake, got Him about a week ago and He's since gone into shed so I've not offered a feed yet, but I'm told he took every meal offered to Him before He was mine (fingers crossed I'm onto a winner) He/She doesn't have a name yet, going to wait until I get 'Him' sexed, He's about 18-20 inches in size.

Housed in a 24" ex fish tank with a converted mesh lid, has a warm hide, cool hide and at the moment a moss humid hide in the middle. One water bowl, a bunch of foliage, and aspen substrate (it's still a bit crude but I'll get there) And I will be upgrading to appropriate sized sliding front viv when He's bigger. For heating I have a 50w ceramic (should have bought the 100 ) keeping the air temperature at about 24-25c and the humidity is currently 60%, a dimmer stat controlled heat mat under His warm hide, set at 31c (I know some advise against this but as I said it's thermostat controlled and isn't quite touching the bottom of the tank, if this is still a bad idea please let me know) I think that covers everything, I'll get a photo of the setup in daylight tomorrow if anyone wants to see. Aside from the royal, I have one crested gecko, and a tank full of african cichlids Once again, great site, glad to be aboard! |

Hi and welcome!
Congrats on the new royal - she/he is gorgeous - takes me back to when I got my first royal Shahi as a hatchling nearly 2 years ago. |

Hello Luke and welcome. I'm looking forward to Osiris getting bigger so I can give him a lovely new viv. LOL. Until then, his faun will have to do. Hehe. |
