My friend thinks it might be a fire or something but I'm no expert on morphs, I've seen bigger normals that are still normal colours but never one like this.

A very nice normal imo - I have his twin (Shiva cb09) prowling about my lap atm - older royals can develop the browner colouration. Very nice royal!

Ah poor guy - yes my Surahi, cb06, has belly scars (she seems to have had several homes during her life.) The scars will hopefully fade with future sheds - BUT, when he goes into shed, expect him to look really rusty and crusty. When I first saw Surahi approaching shed I was horrified; I thought she'd got scale rot, but it wasn't - it's just how snake scars look when the snake goes into shed.

He sounds great - glad he's got a good home with your Dad.

They're kinda on his side more than is belly so makes me wonder how he actually got them but they don't seem to bother him.

He hasn't eaten since January as his mind is still focused on erm well you know! Lol my dad rings me all worried that he hadn't eaten lol but he does have a good home
