gave my female checkered garter some white bait this evening to add some variation to her diet an got a video of her eating

That's great footage. How many fish would you feed in one go? Do you have to warm them up like you would a rat?

cheer's, only gave her 5 incase she didnt eat them but will give her a few more next time as their only small.
just defrosted them in luke warm water then offered them to her

Fantastic. I saw a video during the week of a garter snake eating fish swimming in a wee bowl inside the viv. It was class to see a snake eat in a different way than in used to seeing. Thanks for sharing that.

no problem, been meaning to try her on some fish for ages but didnt get round to it.
her diet will now be 50/50 fish an rodents

have you ever tried putting a small bowl with some live fish in it in the viv?

no havent done an dought i would to be honest as that means going out a buying fish plus something for them to live in so frozen/fresh is just easier
