Hi, my name is Gillian, I have a 1 and 1/2 year old normal Royal Python, a baby corn snake and 4 species of stick insects, soon to be 6, oh and a cat who is not very sure about the snakes. My Royals name is Ralph and he has a great temprement and likes to be handled. He's a little darlin'

hi im vicki(obviously!) ive got 4 month old royal and im pesterin everyone for advice so i'll pester u too! lol ive got a bichon frise who isnt too sure bout the snake! by the way any ideas for names for our lil lady are welcome! |

Mantid is the correct scientific term.
Praying Mantis is thought to have originated from the Middle Ages during mad religious times. A monk saw a European Mantid, Mantis religiosa, and thought that it appeared to be praying to god. That's where the term Praying Mantis originates from. |
