I am a newbie, hoping to get my first Royal shortly, got a Snow Corn (not sure of the sex), a Female BCI, a female yellow anaconda and a female speckled king snake. I held my first Royal about a month ago and fell in love with them...I now am after a pastel :o)
All advice etc etc gratefully received! |

I would imagine the answer would be the same if we asked Lewy what you were like to keep |

Actually she is really calm, although when we first got her she was very nervous and just going into shed...I had one bite off of her, didn't really hurt but bled like hell. She is a lovely snake though! The one I am most nervous around is the king snake...she got me good on my arm once OUCH! |

Snake bites do bleed once- my king got me on the wrist and I thought it just bled a lot because it was in a sensitive area, but when the royal got me it was on tough hand skin and it still bled loads. Weird really, because they aren't deep are they? |

Totally agree with you on that one Ali. Last thing that tagged me was a squirrel that me and the kids were feeding. I had to have a tetinus booster shot! I think the bushy tailed assailant needed it more than I did |

Squirrels probably hurt more than a snake anyway- nothing worse than rodent teeth |

lol. Was a proper comedy moment though cos the squirrel was hanging off my finger by its teeth for a couple of seconds before it let go. My children leant some new words from Daddy that day. |
