You're quite right but maybe if you have some specific questions we might be able to help better?

Also if you have anything you want to ask, it's always worth using the search function (top left of your screen) to see if it has already been asked.

thanks, she is due for a feed 2morrow (sat) so see how that goes, i was told that she was a good feeder so heres hoping, i will upload some pics of her as i was told when i bought her she was 11 months old, but judging by other pics of pythons on various sites that i have seen i very much doubt that she is that old, im not sure if anyone could tell roughly by looking at the pics i upload how old she is, but ive seen pics of 3 month old royals that look about the same size

just a update really, after researching and reading various stories regarding royals having a tendancy to be fussy eaters im pleased to report that marley just took 2 pinkies without any trouble, so ill let her be till monday then move her into her new viv. is it advisable to use a heat lamp and a heat mat, or do i just use one or the other? and if i use both do i have both the mat and the lamp concentrated in one place in the viv as i understand you need a warm and a cool spot for the snake to live in. im still undecided as to what substrate to use so any tips would be appreciated. ive read that moss is ideal as it helps with the humidity in the tank.

hello, welocome to the site.
As a substrate I use Aspen with some orchid bark mixed in.
If you look at other posts on here, you may find that moss is normally used in a moss box.
However, you can see on here that there are different ideas for the care of Royals and it really comes down to what works for you.
Have fun :-)
