A month and a half ago I bought a 2011 female cinnamon royal, the woman who I bought it from (who had a ton of royals) showed me her feeding records and explained that she had been off feed for about a month now. She was housed in a tiny rub so she was nice and secure but now she is in a bigger rub which I have noticed may be causing the problem. However she has plenty of hides and dark corners to hide away in so I don't see a big issue with that. Every time I go to feed her she wiggles over, curls back like she's going to eat it, then turns away and goes walkies around the viv. If I follow her with the mouse she strikes at it but not coiling as if to say stay away.. I've tryed everything I can think of, mouse sizes, moving her to a plain rub to eat in, braining but im not sure if she's just 'off-feed' Shes lost only 15g in 2and a half month so I'm not too worried but some advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

Whats her total weight? and what size rub is she in now? did you try heating up the mice?
And was the lady feeding her mice or rats when you got her? |

royals can be a pain lol, firstly keep a check on the weight and if in doubt go to the vet, try different food and also different conditions i.e lights off, tv off, or on if you already do, my first royal couldnt be bothered eating until he had been out for armchair walkies (hes lazy and weird like me :) )
also (could be coincidence) but both my adults have started eating again just a couple of weeks after giving them reptile vitamins (always read the instructions) |

I got a Gecko eating using Nutrabal too. It was a last resort as it was possibly a bit too small to accurately dose but it seemed to do the trick and now he eats most of his food pretty much all of the time. |
