My little mojave that i believed to have had mites has shed today but there's a couple of problems 1st one is he has shed skin left stuck to his tail do i just soak it an leave it a couple days and leave him to it to see if he gets it off or do i try bathing it and removing it myself?

Second one is this

it looks as though he's lost a scale during shedding and before he went into shed it looked like a little retained shed in the same spot so could have happened to him before what do you think and should i do anything with it?
He is just a small boy about 120g or so so the damage is very small

I'd pop him on paper till it heals (keep it clean)
That's if he's not on paper
And I was recommend savlon when I have a royal with nose rub

I'd also try and remove the shed on the tail especially the tip
As you don't want it to start shrinking and constrict the tail tip

The scale will grow back fairly quickly. It probably wouldn`t be a bad idea to raise your humidity a little as well to help with the next couple of times he sheds.
