I think your trying to offten if hes not taking food id leave it 5-7 days before trying again as you will just stress him by sticking a rat in his face ever few days! How much weight has he lost? I have heard that rubbibg the food item in some used rat bedding can make them eat! Maybe ask your pet shop if they have sum!
Store rang today, looks like he is a mouse feeder (damm europeans lol). They tried him with rat pups & fluffs but he was having none of it, as I experienced. So they tried a mouse (apprently he took a mouse when they had him, but they acidentally told me it was rats) and he took it with ease. Damm I feel stupid now, I could have tried that one myself. Oh well live and learn. Hopefully he will feed on mice ok for me when I get him home.
The rat change over will be a bridge to cross in the future.
