I got a 4yr male royal a few weeks ago he seems to be settling fine, have had a few wet nights lol he seems to like soaking or going through his water bowl,I work nights so have only noticed when i get home so just clean up, but got home this morning about 4am and he was curled up in his bowl, looked very cute actually just left him to it thinking he will sort himself out, I got up about 12 and he was still there and still is,

He does not appear to be in blue, temps ok 32 hot end 27 cool end.

I have a 18 mth royal and so does my partner and we have not seen this before is it normal,

Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks.

He may just like a good soak, but I'd have a good check for mites just in case.

Some snakes do like to bathe although it couldbe he is either about to shed or he may have mites as above check him out and look for little black spots in his water bowl, it's always a good idea to isolate a new snake for a few weeks from any others just in case they are carrying mites or have any other infections
