As sick as this is there is not much they could have done, YES they are sick for recording it, but if they had tried to get the snake out of the road they would have been putting themselves in danger, altho as they recorded it I wish they had been bitten |

I wouldn't have gone near it, surely an injured animal is likely to strike at you. But it was wrong to video it, and post on youtube |

I was assuming it wasn't injured at the start of the video, they seemed to get excited when the car was approaching. |

Another proud human moment. Nothing they could have done for a snake that could in theory have done them serious harm if they attempted to rescue it but to then stop and film it, laughing at it suffering(I watched all of 18 seconds before switching it off). Then the comments and the amount of views just makes me sad. |

What makes this all the more distressing is that it appears to be a family, a mother and a father, filming the snake, and their children are with them. The children are going to grow up thinking this kind of thing is ok - and that's NOT ok

I would have tried my best to move it too. Even if it was with a very long stick. I would never have just left it there (I, and my family, have been known to stop traffic for other Animals in the past, to help them) I couldn't live with myself, it would haunt me forever...
I couldn't watch the whole thing. Too much : (
I belive it is a common thing in America for this sort of thing to happen. People just don't seem to have any empathy at all for other Animals. They think it's fun to watch and it would seem that getting the kids involved is even better to them... Watching that first few seconds of that video made me feel wrong inside, squirmy even. I can't help but imagine what that must have been like for the poor Snake... and nobody even caring. Clearly certain others out there don't feel emotion this way. Lets just hope the kids, at least, come to some sense and realize that that is wrong.
Mind you, I should add that it seems to happen an awful lot over here as well. |

I think maybe we should have a warning about this video? It is a very upsetting thing to watch.
The video shows a Rattlesnake being ran over by a car and crushed. The snake is alive and consious, and continues to be alive and consious after the car runs over it. Don't know what happens after that, didn't watch any more. |
