I'm picking a lovely sub adult lesser up on thurs from a really nice family who are giving up there collection due to work commitments and family life , when I originally went round to view my lesser he had a couple of het pieds sub adult again male and female and a large bespoke made rack which houses them and rest of his collection , after hitting it off with him and his wife I thought I'd be cheeky and see what deal I could get on whole rack set up mats , rubs everything and his 2 het pied , he initially wanted around the £850 mark but today after organising the pick up of the lesser he has said as he believes they will be well loved and cared for so will do the lot for me for £600 , would I be a totally mug to let this slip ???? I know I can't gurentee the hets as there well hets lol !!! My gut feeling is its all very genuine .

Best to ask about paperwork just to see what he says
What's the rack like ? How many rubs does it hold
And what size are the het pied pair
All this counts towards value ;)

It tis me yes with the lemon blasts for sale :)

Del, what's this paperwork you talk about? Surely any paperwork isn't worth the paper its printed on as a het is a hidden thing and bought on trust alone really.

What I talk about is

If the paperwork said
Brought from CPR,Genitic gems,Scott from captivebreed to name a few of the big breeders
It's got more weight behind it and my mind would be at easy knowing that they would be het for pied
Trust alone don't kick it for me and as people have been selling so called hets that ain't
I'd be more worried about buying it from the man down the road
Without seening the parents and maybe a few pictures of the lock

I think I make a valid point and people should think twice about buying hets

Back to the topic
Yes I'd say it's worth whatever your prepaired to pay for it :)
£600 seems fair and like you say he seems genuine

I wasn't questioning your point. I wondered if there was a more recognised way, a guarantee if you wish that a het will prove out. There is always an element of trust on it though as without a recognised guarantee etc thats all you have.
