Bathing is unlikely to solve dehydration other than being sat in the water it needs to drink, but bathing is a technical thing with water temperatures etc so it's best avoided unless absolutely necessary (I can't think of a valid reason).
How old or more importantly what size is your snake?
6 weeks off food to a royal python is like you skipping breakfast, it's not a major concern. I would start at the beginning though, check the vivarium make sure the temperatures are OK, forget humidity it's almost impossible to get anything under 50% humidity in the UK without some serious dehumidifying action. As its going into shed then stick a damp cloth over the hot side hide and keep it moist, anything more is overkill. Hygrometers are fiddly and almost always giving the wrong reading. Hides and foliage/places to hide are very important, royals are shy and stress easily if they have nowhere they feel safe. |
