                      | Hi everybody!
 Happy New Year!

 I've a humidity question...

Our back room where we keep our snakes has a little damp patch in the corner and around our window. I need to know that if I buy dehumidifier (been told that this will help by a builder) how this will affect the humidity within the vivs and is there anything I can do to stop the humidity for dropping or being too low within the vivs.

 Hope this makes sense!

Thanks in advance for any help!

                      | i would say moving their water bowl's closer to the hot end/bulb should help counteract the dehumidifier |

                      | Thanks Chris.
Think it would be worth getting a humidity gauge?

                      | If you get a digital humidity tester as chrisc has said I would test the vivs before switching on the dehumidifier & then test again a day later. It shouldn't have a big effect on the vivs & try to keep it near the problem area of the room. A damp moss box in the viv might also help keep the levels up if they do drop. |

                      | Thanks guys.
It's a bugger really as I've just managed to get all 3 vivs at the same temp ranges and remodelled them too! I'd hate to have to move them out whilst we use the dehumidifier.

Best place to get a digital gauge? eBay? Amazon?

                      | All depends what you are looking for and willing to spend. Amazon have some quite good ones for good prices (and quick delivery). Or they do have (which i use for ours and am partial too) the Klimalogg pro by TFA. |
