Nah, don't tell me, it's Tiddles!

My black and white cat's called Mouse ...

It is a little-known fact that "Princess" is a Somali word meaning "She who hides all the time" so, yes, she lives up to it well!

The cat's name is actually Black and White Cat. We used to have Ginger Cat as well, but we lost him a few months back.

LOL - I never knew that - how appropriate! I wondered if she was a 'royal highness' like Shahi. Up on his climbing branch, monarch of all he surveys ...

'Black and White Cat' - bless him! I once had a cat whose nickname was Cookie. Short for 'Cooking Fat' ...

Aw, sorry to hear about Ginger Cat. Gingers are special, Emily and Finn are both ginger. Well, all cats are special!

Cooking Fat, genius!

Ginger Cat was great, he was a stray that decided to move in so Sarah unofficially adopted him. Actually neither of them were planned they were just acquired. Black and White Cat belonged to a friend of Sarah's, she ended up minding him while her friend moved house or something and when she came to collect him he wouldn't go.

I'd never been a cat person, but became so attached to Sarah's that I want to get a couple of kittens when Black and White Cat goes.

Aw, that's lovely! But in my experience the local strays/homehunters will have been eyeing you up since Ginger left ...After my elderly Siamese & Co left me, I said, 'no more cats'. Then along came Emily ... and brought her mates with her!

well my first was a normal cornsnake so being a ginger colour he just had to be called Axl, after Axl rose, Then I got my Royal who has lots of jet black on him so seemed to only be 1 name to fit, Slash.

Hmmm, my six got theirs for really corny reasons ; Sophie & Victoria were named after 2 of me best friends (and were responsible for curing their snake phobia!), Charlotte was after the spider in "Charlotte's Web", Mo as in Mojave, Pip due to lots of little speckles mixed in his markings and Buzz cos that's what real bees do, lol! :D:D

Sadly, our pets all have pretty crappy names to be honest. When my missus got her corn, I suggested we could call him Neil, short for Cornelius. When I got mine a few months later, we couldn't come up with a name, and she was referred to as missus, which has stuck. Unfortunately my royal has fared no better, and the missus jokingly suggested she should be Patsy the Python. This has stuck too, partly because I'm rubbish with names, and partly because it has other connotations as I'm a Monty Python fan and Patsy was a character in the Holy Grail (albeit male). Our catfish are similarly afflicted, with names such as Neville, Eric, Bob, Brian, Clive and Al (because he's albino).

Most of you guys seem far more creative!

Ha, more great names - all of those sound pretty creative to me! (I've got room to talk, with a cat called Mouse!)

Glad Sophie and Victoria did their bit for curing phobias ... a friend of mine who's severely phobic was charmed by pics of Figs' Harrison ...sadly we're only in phone contact or she could come and have a go at cuddling Shahi or Saada - I think it's the chunky bodies and what Miss Cat calls 'puppydog eyes'. (I couldn't ask her to cuddle Surahi - that snake cuddles ME!)

I have a bad habit of naming things after what's directly in front of me at the time. I have a bushy-nosed plec called "Freeview", A black and white cat called "Fat Boy" (simply because he is). Another cat called "Dribbly". The cats did have normal names once, but I never use them!

My new royal is called Dexter as thats what I was watching when I actually decided to go ahead and buy the viv :) It suits him too.

LOL - my Shahi gets called Fatboy Slim! and the local kids call Finn 'Garfield' ... say no more ...

Dexter sounds really cool for a royal. Sort of ... dextrous ...

I have set up a competition on Facebook (just amongst my friends of course) as I just cannot come up with a good name and I thought it would be a fun way to involve them with her (or him but I'm calling her a her. So far I've had nothing amazing but will be patient and see what comes up. Hmm need to think of a prize. Frozen mouse anyone?

I used to have goldfish called Dud & Pete, border collies called Patsy and Eddie, an orange cat called Orange Cat, an orange cat called Sidney and now have a fluffy white cat called Lulu (pearl in Arabic).

Ah, my Saada's name is Arabic - it means 'happiness.' (As you'll know of course!)

I've often thought a nice name for a royal would be 'Sula.' It's Norse ...for 'gannet' lol - well, they are when they're in eating mode!

My royal I named Kaa.. Mainly because I didn't know what to call him, and my step dad suggested Kaa from the film the jungle book, and i felt that suited him perfectly
I also have a bearded dragon named Aggro.. This is because when my parents got him they got in a really big arguement and said he caused 'absolute aggro' haha
My leapoard gecko died a few years ago, but I loved his name and the story behind it.. I named him huey because when i brought him home i got really bad car sickness and my dad thought it was funny to call him huey as that was the sound i would be making if i was going to be sick
Ermmm I have 3 cats, with fairly simple names, they're called fluffy, tibby and twigglet
I have a dwarf rabbit called berty and two guinea pigs called bubble and squeek.
My hamster is called Nora Batty, because 1. Se knaws everything in her cage and 2. Because she hangs upside down in her cage and thinks shes a bat, so we put it together and came up with nora batty lmao
And lastly my dad has a turantula, that me and my step mum named sessel, purely because my dad didnt like the name LOL
