Little update on his weight, the new weighing scales arrived today to replace the previous one that measured in 5 gram increments and had also proved to give significantly inaccurate readings
Bought a set of salter scales that measure in 1 gram increments and got a reading of 260 grams so I can keep an good eye on his weight gains now as the months go by
Do you think he should be able to manage an adult mouse at this weight as he didnt manage the previous one I tried all be it he never got this particular mouse the right way he was trying to eat it side on the dozy bugger so hes back on medium mice which he easily takes ?

Ah the fold it in half method, Flo likes to do that with her rats on occassions! Dippy cow she is! Earl should be able to take a mouse the same size as his girth at the widest point so try getting a large mouse and see how he gets on, or if he has a good apetite just give him 2 medium maybe. Thats how i went with flo, stepping up the grades to giant mice, then the big jump to weaner rats, Thats when i felt my baby was all grown up!!! By the way, nice choice of parots and dogs too, i have a similar list of animalian friends! |
