see looking at a pic of clunch's royal, Ra's eyes are as clear as that now, but he does have those white rings around the eyes still, unlike clunch's royal, hence my worry :s |

Cat, i would not worry to much, once you get him feeding regular he will shed more, so unless it is a worry i would do as BE says and only bath him if you have to in another 48 hours, you dont want to stress him out to much, just keep a moist moss box in his viv and if he needs moisture then he can access it... |

once you have everything together he should shed normally, when he feels better in the right environment witrh temps and stuff he will be fine..
Him taking that rat pup is a great sign, he has his appetite, if he was not feeling better he probably would not feed. |

Agreed, the first thing an upset Royal will do is not eat properly. |

when should i weigh him next? he's looking bigger and i want to know if im imagining things! LOL
oooo i just read someting else over "on the dark side" how ofetn should i totally clean everything in the viv, including disinfecting it? and what is best to use for disinfecting, one of the special reptile disinfectants, something more specifically tailored for snakes, or is something more readily available at home that i can go it with?
just read about F10, where do i get it from as i cant find it online or can i only get it from the vets? http://www.shropshire-exotics.co.uk/Eff10.htm eeep is there anywhere else cheaper or will the smaller 500ml last a long time seing as how i only have 3 vivs to clean?

hi cat, I just use the small animals disinfectant from pets @ home, its 500 ml spray bottle and only a few quid. Just spray on, wipe around and then rinse. Works just fine for me. |

I just use Flash Antibacterial wipes. The ones with the scrubby side and soft side. Matilda is a filthy little moo who seems to be on some kind of dirty protest at the moment. The scrubby side gets it off everything. |

I normally weigh mine monthly when I clean their vivs out. Easier to weigh them when they are in their bags. |
