Be careful with household disinfectants like Flash etc. I know Detol is poisonous for instance. |

Cat, i use F10, may be a tad expensive up front, but it goes a long long way, and i also use it to disinfect my hands between handling my snakes... |

i use the gel stuff u get in hospitals etc for my hands i'll do a bit more digging around for F10 and also the bea clean, though im now mighty confused over which i should use lol, is there actually a right or wrong (apart from household ones like flash etc) or is it more a matter of preference? |

No, both are widely used. As Anne says, I think F10 works out cheaper in the long run. |

I use Tamodine cos the shop(S'n'A) where i go sells it and thats the only reason really. |

Probably all three are good, the only reason i am using F10 is cos i heard loads of good things about it and also if it can kill the stuff in Peanuts lungs then it must be good.. |

omg thank christ for the digital thermometer :s been taking readings from all over the viv, directly over the heatmat measures 40*c if he had buried under the substrate :( ive now moved it out a bit, and bunged all his wood on top of it. fortunately he's spending most of the time (all my waking hours at least, from 7am to about 3am- hooray for insomnia) inside his moss hide. ordering stat today :s |

Hi Cat if your going ceramic then you either need a pulse or a dimmer, but not sure if they work with mats..i guess the pulse would. |

Yep, Pulse Proportional will do both and cheaper than a Dimming Stat. |

I don't know what the delivery cost are like on there, but you may be able to find them on ebay cheaper. |
