just to give everyone an vague idea of the woman i was taking rep advice from, she was keeping 3 leo. geckos in this box:
the can is there to add some perspective. there were many other problems too, unfortunately i found none of this out til a few weeks ago. i have the geckos now though, in a 2ft viv, with a 3ft viv in production, ready in about 2 weeks ^_^ oh and i found out that the rspca did not tell her to get rid of all her animals. social services told her than anything with fur or feathers had to go (as her son has bad asthma) all the rspca have done is check up on her. apparently she is now looking after her beardie right, but i cant help but wonder how long THAT will last, esp. since i found out that she is trying to get hold of a female to breed it with. poor thing is only in a 3ft viv as it is. no point in reporting her to the rspca, she has been reported more than twice, but they have done nothing! grrrrrrrrrrr |

I've heard of a lot of Beardies being kept in 3' vivs, but that 4' is ideal? |

i didnt notice til this afternoon when i was doing my rounds of poo picking/waterbowl filling/temp checking. he had gone right to the oposite end of the viv at the back and buried himself under the substrate to shed, subsequently hiding the skin, must have done it last night as it wasnt there yesterday! ^_^ all done now, such a relief it's unbelievable lol |

i haven't weighed him again yet, thought i would leave it until a month has passed between weighs then i can (hopefully)have a nice surprise! LOL he does seem a lot chunkier now though. I moved him into the smaller viv this morning, he's already had an explore (moved him while still in his moss hide, so he actually came out to explore, i didnt just dump him in there :p) he got fed last night so i can leave him be for a week to settle down, but i will post pics up as soon as he is cooperative enough to let me take some :p |

If he has already come out for a nose round then that is a good sign he is feeling happier.
Well done, I bet you feel better seeing him look better to, how is the other half now? |
