I just finally finished reading this entire thread... Wow. That's quite a journey you got there.

So, Cat, since you're such a bad keeper and all that (flame flame flame) you don't need to be owning this snake... Ship Ra to me right QUICK!

Just joking, of course. You are an amazing royal woman. Hats off to ya! And hats off to theroyalpython members who contributed to this thread. You are the best!

Snake owner since Oct 2008, so yeah, I'm no expert.

hi guys, just a quick question.
Ra has been eating Rat pups quite happily no probs :)
i came accross a thread on the dark side of a royal not much different in age or size to Ra who was being fed his first rat weaner and it was a lot bigger than i would have imagined the royal could have coped with, however ate it easily. should i be trying Ra with weaners now? or is he still too small? i will weigh ra later if he comes out(i have to wait til he comes out as he has discovered a "cave" under the large rock i put in the viv to eat some space, i dont want to move the rock to get him out in case i drop it and squash him, its a very very heavy rock :s)

Also, you can get Rat Fuzzies and Fluffs which are an inbetween size if you can find them.

i know what you mean, i bought a box of rat pups the other day, only 1 in the box was a decent size, the rest could be confused as being large mouse pinkies. i have a freezer full of these, it's costing me a fortune only being able to use a couple from a box. :( i really have to find somewhere else to buy them from.

I got a good selection of weeners from S'n'A on saturday...

instead of just using a few MC, try multi feeding. If your planning on moving him up a size it may be a good idea to give him to smaller ones to get him used to larger meals.
