i use f10 for cleaning out the vivs.
i scrub with f10 then rinse twice with water so the smell goes.
just wondering even though its a rep safe cleaner would the fumes/smell or the snake having direct contact with the fluid have any bad effects on said snake?

I use weakest solution for spot cleaning after mess and dirty aspen has been taken out, but I don't rinse - had always assumed it was safe. Would rinse after stronger solutions though.

However, I believe you can use a solution of F10 in a nebuliser for a snake with RI so I'm assuming that the stuff is pretty benign - however would be interested to know more.

Ah right - I have some F10 that gives directions on how to make a solution; also some super concentrate.

I am a keep it natural kind of guy lol. I just use kitchen roll and water to clean up messes and when its deep clean time I use a steam cleaner. I also have my little army of cleaners on hand, the springtails.

I use protect vivarium cleaner. It smells solvent based and therefore toxic, so I always make sure I clean it off well with water. I don't think F10 will toxic, but I think it could do some irritation or harm if ingested. I know its also used as a hand cleaner, and most soaps contain sodium hydroxide which is caustic. Does it give the contents on the bottle? Personally I would make sure its well washed away before putting a snake back in the viv. Better safe than sorry....

The fumes wouldn't be harmful, its specifically designed for use with animals. Rinsing and allowing to dry would be enough to render it 100% safe I'm almost certain of that.

I use reptile cleaner from pets at home, it works a real treat, Put the disinfectant on the viv/rub wait 10-15 minutes and wipe down with paper towels. Hardly any smell at all :) costs about £5. Money well spent to be honest

Reptile list.
