hey all, i'm new here, i got my royal yesterday, has been fine up until about ten mins ago, shes started coiling round in her rub and pushing her face into the bottom, like she kind of off balance, if you get what i mean? just wondered if anyone knows whats happening? It's like she has something on her face or something and she trying to rub it off on the floor. about half an hour ago she done a poo, and shes been totally fine since i got her. its really worrying me. thanks..

Had she been looking rather dull for a few days? It might be that she's rubbing her nose to start to shed. That's how my cornsnakes start a shed off.

she is dull, and her skin is flakey, it just worried me as it looked like she was fitting or something.. but there is skin flaking around her nos etc.. shes only around 11 weeks old. shes just rubbing her face now, so i assume she is doing what you said. might give her a little bath.. thank you for your health.

I had this with my mojave once, got him out and within 2 mins he was rolling around and searching for somewhere to break his shed on. So I put him back in and in a couple of hours he'd completely shed. Nothing to worry about :)

Has she got a plant or roughish hide that she could rub against? That would help her get things started.
I'm sure it will all be ok....

hello, thank you for your replies, i got so worried at first when she was doing it, i thought she was fitting or something, i took her out for 5 mins and bathed her, she was fine after i took her out.. Yeah, her hide is rough, so she can have a good old rub on that. shes started to peel just on her nose, so i guess it's just itchy for her. thanks anyway. my names Arran by the way.
