Thanks Lou , Well my cold end is messuring in at 16.4C so think I shall have to put another mat under there and boost it up to around 20C. My warm end is messuring in at 31.6C so I am happy with that. |

Cool end should be fine, if hes cold he will move to the warm end. Mine room temp drops to around 18c at night times but I don't have any heat mats there. Would be expensive as you would need to stat it too!
Edit, I read yours as 18, not 16! Dunno then if that 's too cold or not. Why is your room so cold? lol I'd die if my rooms wer only 16c |

Well it reads 16C in day and around 12C at night so think I shall have to add another heatmat to boost the cool end up to 20C or do you think I should leave this and let the snake thermo regulate with out me boosting the cool end up??. |

Move your brb's away from the radiator and turn your heating on!
You will have to wait for further advice as i'm not sure tbh. 12c is pretty cold though brrrrrrrrrr |

I can't move the brb's away as there RUBS are on top of my caramel cornsnake's Viv and then next to the viv i have my Amel corn in her glass tank , My room is tiny it's a box room , My brb's don't have a problem with heat as I have gave them an extra mat for cool end so don't go down lower than 20C , Think I shall do the same for the Het Pied, but shall wait for other advice as I am not sure. |

Actually it isn't very clear at all, you do say you'll need to put one under the cold end, so don't be an arse when someone is trying to help.
As he states, changing to a bulb would increase the cold end temp if you cannot keep the ambient up. |

Am I barking up the wrong tree when I say that Royals have a requirement for an ambient air temp of around the 26-28 degrees Centigrade? |

If you take a second to read my post at the end that curly thing is a question mark I am asking a question in a current related thread, they don't shut down the second your query is solved so don't be offended if a related question pops up in your threads in the future. |

Nope your at the right tree Lotabob. Ambient needs to be in the above range stated if were looking to replicate the temperature of our snakes natural environment . 12 - 16 c is just way to cold.
Can i ask how you fixed the problem Hiper2009? |

16-18 C in the cold end? Blimey thats practically arctic!
I thought the temperature range was supposed to be from 26 or 27 - 32 or 33 C?
That's how i've got mine set up. |
